Posted October 01, 2018 06:14:31 A $1 million home sale in Westfield could be worth $2.6 million, according to real estate consultant Robert T. Davis.

Davis said the $1.6-million home at 707 S. Walnut St. is the only home he’s seen sell for $2 million or more in the Portland area.

He said a number of people are interested in buying the home, including a woman who sold it last year for $1,744,000.

“We have seen quite a few people in Portland go and buy these houses,” Davis said.

“They’re getting a lot of interest.

We’re seeing a lot more sellers this week.”

Davis said Westfield is offering to sell the house for $500,000 and $1m, or about $1 per square foot.

Davis also said he’s been hearing from buyers who want to sell their homes to pay down their mortgage.

“There’s a lot going on right now,” Davis noted.

“People are really excited.

They’re starting to look for ways to do this for themselves.”

The home was purchased by the same buyer for $8.8 million in August.
